Facet: Voxel Art Creator

Facet is a lightweight, dedicated 3D voxel modeling and texturing application designed specifically to eliminate the tedious setup usually required for 3D pixel art. Build AND paint in one app!

Facet provides a pixel-art and voxel-building workflow that lets game developers and artists jump straight into building 3D meshes and painting pixel-perfect textures directly onto voxel faces!

The software excels at breaking away from traditional, blocky voxel aesthetics by offering powerful geometric tools like edge chamfering (beveling) and filleting (rounding) that reshape a voxel in a single click.

To drastically speed up the texturing process, the built-in Pattern tool allows you to save custom pixel art designs and instantly stamp them across multiple voxel faces. This saves you from the repetitive work of manually redrawing complex textures like bricks, grates, or scales.

Additionally, the unique "Facade Depth Editor" allows you to extrude individual pixels to carve sub-voxel 3D relief details directly into voxel faces. This is perfect for effortlessly creating elements like window frames or rivets with real physical depth.

When your model is complete, Facet saves you from working on UVs for hours by automatically exporting clean, industry-standard .obj files with highly optimized texture atlases that drop seamlessly into your game engine of choice.

This project is actively being developed, and has a discord you can join!
Easily share your creations with others or just show off what you have made using the "Copy Project JSON" button, just paste it into discord and rename the file appropriately!

Upon purchase, you will receive the standalone .msi Windows installer alongside a helpful README.md guide. Your purchase includes all future updates for free via Itch.io, and once Facet officially launches on Steam, you will be provided with a complimentary Steam key to claim the application and receive seamless automatic updates there!

⚠️ Important Installation Note for Users

Facet is designed to work on Windows 10/11, other operating systems are currently untested are assumed to be not supported. 

Because Facet is developed by an independent solo developer, it does not use an expensive corporate code-signing certificate. As a result, Windows will likely show a blue SmartScreen warning when you first run the installer. This is completely normal for indie software.

To safely install Facet:

1. Double-click the downloaded .msi installer.
2. When the blue "Windows protected your PC" screen appears, click the "More info" text just beneath the main paragraph.
3. A new button will appear at the bottom right. Click "Run anyway".
4. Follow the standard installation prompts!
